White Spindle Shell ~ Size: 10 - 15cm 

Classification: Fusinus undatus


These rather elegant tropical shells are from the family of Fusinidae.


This shell is fairly thick with an elongated shape whorled up to the top of the shell (spire).


Its ornamental features are the spiral ridges and ribbed design that stand out on the shell.


It is mainly white, most have a cream/brown colour towards the end of the shell. Very few have a left-handed spiral.


These lovely ornamental white shells make beautiful table gifts for wedding events.

    These shells are found in the Indo-Pacific. These are a sea snail and live on the sandy bottom of the ocean among rocks and coral reef debris. They are carnivorous and prey on a mixture of other small creatures.
