Abalone Shell ~ 17-19 cm

Classification: Haliotis midae Gmelin

These beautiful large abalone shells have brilliantly coloured internal lustre, with a sea washed external surface which is textured and rugged, representing for me the ebb and flow of the ocean!

Abaolone shells are found worldwide and these larger species are from more temperate waters.

The abalone shell is considered to bring good luck when positioned around your home.
